In California, Civil Service Employees Insurance offers coverage for:

Owners of a one or two family dwelling using it as their primary residence. Also eligible are those who have purchased such a dwelling and are currently living there, but haven't had the title for the dwelling passed on to them.
Owners of a condominium using it as their primary residence.
Renters of an apartment (coverage is for contents only).
Townhouse owners, with the type of coverage (building and contents or contents only) depending on whether the building is covered under the association's property insurance.
We also have CSE Safeguard available for owners of a single family dwelling using it is their primary residence.

Among the available options for our property products are:

Special discounts for educators, firefighters, law enforcement professionals, and other qualifying groups (see definition of who is eligible below).
Identity Recovery Coverage -- In the event your identity is stolen, CSE provides coverage to help you with various incurred expenses, including wage loss, as a result of the theft.
Equipment Breakdown Coverage -- Should major appliances or related items such as a water heater break down, through this program you can be covered for up to $25,000.
Discounts for policyholders who qualify under one or more of the following. While the exact amount of the discount depends on several factors, the percentages shown are the usual amount. Making these discounts all the better is that there is no limit on how many can be applied to a policy! Your agent can give you the full details.

(1) All full-time or retired from full-time publicly employed firefighters, law enforcement officers as defined below, and publicly employed teachers plus professors qualify for the 10% discount. All other full-time employees of a government unit qualify for the 5% discount.

Full-time is defined as working at least thirty hours per week on a permanent basis.

Government unit is defined as an entity which directly or indirectly receives its authority from federal, state, county, or local laws, or which by custom is associated with these units. A government unit may be:

The executive, judicial, or legislative branch of the federal or a state government;
One of the branches of the military including the National Guard;
A federal independent agency such as the U.S. Postal Service;
A county, municipal, or local government official.
Government employee is defined as any person who is principally employed on a permanent, full-time basis by a government unit (as defined above) in the public service or has retired from such employment. This definition includes:

A person on active military duty;
An elected official;
One who is employed by or retired from such units;
The surviving spouse of a government employee as defined here.

Note: If the qualifying insured or spouse of the qualifying insured is retired, the last position held prior to retirement must have been as a full-time government employee as defined here.
Law enforcement officers are defined as:

Police officers;
Sheriffs;
FBI agents;
Secret Service agents;
Officers of the Department of Homeland Security;
Prison guards;
Border Patrol Enforcement personnel;
Other comparable positions whose duties are primarily the prevention and/or investigation of offenses against the criminal laws, apprehension and/or detention of individuals either suspected of, charged with, detained for, or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws;
An employee engaged in the aforementioned activity who is transferred to a supervisory and/or administrative position;
A probation or pretrial services officer.
