• Don't insure your land. Most lenders ask your homeowner policy to cover the purchase price of your home. In many communities the land is worth more than the home. Ask your agent for a replacement cost estimate.
• Increase your deductible. Some policies give as much as a 30% discount for increased deductibles.
• Bundle with your auto carrier for multi-line discounts.
• If you have a security system installed be sure to ask your agent if you qualify for a discount. (e.g. new roof, installed a fire alarm, ect)
